This award is for an end user (shipper) company that is making specific and judicious use of new digital technologies to realise significant improvements in supply chain performance. In assessing the submissions, the judges will look for nominations that show evidence of astute organisational planning for digital transformation, the development of new business models, and the successful scaling up of pilot initiatives. Nominations can also indicate efforts to create and build digital awareness, manage cybersecurity threats and achieve deep organisational support and acceptance.
This award is for an end user (shipper) company that continually aims to improve its supply chain function through innovation. In assessing the submissions, the judges will look for nominees that consistently implement new practices or technologies in their organisations to deliver tangible increases in supply chain performance. Nominations can also indicate initiatiatives aimed at embedding new ways of working in the organisation, upskilling and reskilling, and overcoming “innovation fatigue”.
This award is for an end user (shipper) company that is incorporating the ethos of sustainability to realise significant improvements across environmental indicators including carbon emissions, waste disposal, and energy management. Nominations can also demonstrate activities and initiatives aimed at promoting and prioritising sustainability in the organisation.
Nominees for this award shall be involved in developing and successfully implementing initiatives that serve to promote environmental sustainability. These initiatives can encompass areas such as carbon emissions reduction, energy efficiency, product recycling and waste management. Nominations can also highlight efforts to evangelise the ethos of sustainability within companies and to the broader industry.
Nominees for this award shall be responsible for the development of a new enterprise in the logistics & supply chain industry. They should provide evidence of superior entrepreneurship skills such as recognising a market need/gap, developing a competitive advantage and value proposition, financing the initiative, adequately and appropriately resourcing the organisation, and targeting and acquiring customers. Nominations can also provide indication of early success and new venture progress.
Nominees for this award shall have a track record of success in improving or transforming the supply chain performance of a company or companies. As well as a solid understanding of the art and science of supply chain management, nominations can demonstrate how superior leadership skills, cultural awareness and tenacity in the face of challenging circumstances have contributed towards their achievements.
Nominees for this award shall have an acknowledged track record and reputation for developing new ideas and concepts that further the development and sophistication of the logistics & supply chain industry. They should demonstrate how such ideas and concepts fill a gap in existing knowledge and practices and indicate the extent to which these have been accepted as new ways of thinking and working. Nominations can also provide indication of the dissemination of formulated ideas and concepts via, for example, conferences, books, journal articles, and media appearances.
This special award is for exceptional service to the logistics & supply chain sector by an individual recognised for his/her multiple and high achievements during a stellar career dedicated to serving this industry. The winner is identified and selected by the LogiSYM 2023 Organising Committee.
