Ts Dr Iskandar is a senior lecturer of AHIBS, UTM and co-founded HOLISTICS Lab Sdn Bhd that focus on the commercialization of digital innovation and technology for halal industry. Among the innovative solutions that has been successfully commercialized is QuikHalal and MyHalalGiG. For his efforts to promote innovation and technology in halal industry, Dr Iskandar received numerous awards including the Malaysia Halal Hi-Tech Challenge, the Malaysia Commercialization Year Award from the MOSTI, Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Center (MaGIC) e@Stanford, and MiGHT. He recently lead HOLISTICS Lab to secure the National Technology Innovation Sandbox (NTIS) grant and iConnect Halal Supply Chain Innovation grant, both from MOSTI. On top of the national recognition he also won various international recognition such as the Korea Startup Grand Challenge from the Ministry of SME, South Korea and Leaders in Innovation Fellowship from the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK.
