Ms Shafiqah Abdul Samat is a Regional Trade Manager at Henkel. She holds a Master of Customs Administration, with 10 years of relevant working experience in Asia Pacific and EU. She embarked onto Trade & Customs Compliance in 2011 as a sole contributor, to establish the APAC Trade and Customs Compliance team. Shafiqah is responsible for developing and implementation of trade policy, devising process enhancement, provision of awareness and technical training, conducts audits and management of any special supply chain projects. In 2012, Henkel awarded her with Best Compliance Initiative Award. Today, she leads a regional team of trade specialists, handles complex issues arising from daily operations and holds a pivotal advisory role as a subject matter expert for the businesses and cross-functions. Outside of work, Shafiqah loves long-distance running, heavy weightlifting and educating the young on environmental sustainability.
