Yap Mei Lin is the General Manager of UPS Malaysia, responsible for the strategic management of UPS’s small package business across operations, marketing, business development, brokerage, finance, accounting, and security. She joined UPS in 2014 as a finance manager, playing a key role in revenue growth, cost control, and compliance. Mei Lin successfully led the implementation of the goods and services tax (GST) into UPS’s systems in 2015, coordinated efforts to secure a new customs agent license, and implemented a cashless QR code solution for cash on delivery shipments to enhance service reliability and customer experience. In 2023, she managed UPS’s operations centers in Shah Alam, Penang, and Johor Bahru before being promoted to her current role in February 2024. A certified ISO auditor, she previously held finance and auditing roles in banking, manufacturing, and retail industries, and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Wales, UK.
