Dr. Koh Chaik Ming

Dr Koh Chaik Ming is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Operations Research & Analytics (IORA) and Adjunct Professor at the National University of Singapore where he focuses on Singapore’s Food Supply Chain Resilience research. He is also Adjunct Professor at Singapore Management University and Nanyang Technological University – Food Science and Technology Department where he teaches operations management and food supply chain. Prior to that, he was the Asia Pacific Chief Executive Officer of the largest Chinese frozen meat import platform, spearheading the Group’s cold chain real estate development platform in China. Before that, he was General Manager at Shell China and Regional General Manager – Asia Pacific & Middle East for Shell Marine Products where he managed a US$2 billion business portfolio. Before Shell, Dr Koh was Temasek Holdings’ first Chief Representative for Shanghai and investment cluster lead for aviation and logistics. He also managed M&Ms/Mars cold chain for Dove chocolates in China in the early 1990s. Dr Koh is an alumnus of both Singapore Management University DBA, Harvard Business School AMP and INSEAD MBA program. He is also the Chairman of the Food Bank Singapore, one of the top four food charities in Singapore. He is also the Academic Director for Executive Education Asia Pacific at EHL Business School, the top hospitality University based in Lausanne, Switzerland.
