Expert in international business and marketing and applied economics field. Currently serving as Professor/Director of Logistics Management program and Director of Aviation Industry Innovation and Service at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL). Prior to this role, Somcanae was a Senior Trade Officer at Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce. In addition, Somcanae worked as a Deputy Director/ Vice Consul stationed at the Royal Thai Consulate General (Commercial) in Los Angeles, USA. His roles was to promote trade between Thailand and the markets of United States. His works included providing strategic advice and manage trade promotion programs to enhance business between Thailand and USA. Also touching area of international relation.
Before attaining Los Angeles posted, Somcanae served seven years in Department of International Trade Promotion , Ministry of Commerce of the Thai Government in Thailand where he worked for various divisions overseeing projects to help Thai companies expand in overseas countries. He had organized overseas trade missions to more than 20 countries in Asia, Europe, and Africa.
Somcanae was also the host for a weekly one-hour business talk show television program during 2007-2010. And also regularly enjoy performing stand-up comedy presently. He holds a bachelor and master degree in Economics and PhD in International Business.
