ASYAD
John Wylie is Group CEO Advisor – Freight for ASYAD which is an Oman government holding company with a portfolio of 15 wholly and partly owned companies. These companies operate in transportation, ports and free zones and logistics support services across Oman. ASYAD is the main driving force behind achieving the Sultanate’s logistics development plan (SOLS 2040) which provides a roadmap for aggressively expanding the logistics sector in Oman and establishing Oman as a global logistics hub and ASYAD as an integrated global logistics provider.
John focuses on developing the Freight business cluster which currently includes Oman Shipping, Oman Dry Dock, Oman Post and Oman Rail.
He has 29 years of international commercial and general management experience in logistics and transportation across a wide variety of markets and cultures. He began his career in the UK and Western Europe before moving to Saudi Arabia. He then moved to Central Europe after which he relocated to the UAE and then Oman where he is currently based.
John has an Executive MBA from Instituto de Empresa, Madrid
