18 May Fendy Nursalim

General Manager
Sembcorp Solar Singapore
Mr Fendy Nursalim is General Manager of Sembcorp Solar Singapore. He is responsible for driving the overall performance of the solar business, including Business Development, Customer Management and Commercial, Engineering, Project Development & Safety, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and Operations and Maintenance of all solar assets. He is also responsible for leading the team in preparing and submitting technical and commercial proposals to government agencies and customers for project tenders.
Previously from Sembcorp’s Utilities business, Fendy has roots in engineering and plant operations. Driven by a desire to play a part in Singapore’s increasing adoption of renewable energy into its energy generation mix, he switched over to the Renewables business and joined the solar team in 2017 when it was in its infancy. Keen to learn and eager to try his hands at something, he helped establish a new frontier for Sembcorp as a company, which was then just starting new to venture into the rooftop solar business.
Fendy was part of the pioneering team which grew the solar business in Sembcorp and contributed to the solar deployment capacity in Singapore from 6MWp in 2017 to the current 405MWp in operation and under development. 405MWp makes up close to 20% of Singapore’s 2030 target of 2GWp.
Fendy holds a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley and a Master’s in Environmental Engineering from Nanyang Technological University.
