Apprenticing as an electrical engineer in the fluorspar mines of Derbyshire England, graduating with a BSc (Hons) in electronics from the University of Surrey and commencing his graduate career designing Automatic Guided Vehicle systems, David’s career now spans 30 years in the Materials Handling industry.

David has held resident posts in the UK, Australia, Indonesia, Thailand and the UAE. encompassing Project & Engineering Management, Sales & Marketing Management, Business Development and Business Management.

Working with market leading brands, including Lansing-Linde, Dexion, Schaefer and Al Futtaim (FAMCO), David has managed the development of existing “Principal” and “Distributor” operations while further expanding business into new territories, including Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Oman, Qatar and KSA.

Working across major industry sectors with both multinational and local clientele, David has managed the development of operational solutions utilizing the complete range of Materials Handling Equipment and associated systems.

As coach and mentor, during his 8-year tenure at Al Futtaim, David led the FAMCO team to being awarded the “Materials Handling Provider of the year” – four consecutive years at the Supply Chain and Transport Awards. David is a regular speaker, mediator and panel participant on the logistics conference circuit.

In 2016, David founded Intralogistic Solution, an independent design, consulting and system supply business, targeting manufacturing, warehousing and distribution operations across all industry sectors.

David and family have been resident in Dubai, UAE for 12 years.
