Bipin has over two decades of experience as a consultant and in-house expert advising multinational companies on Customs, International trade. Excise, VAT and Supply Chain related issues. Bipin is based in Singapore but has also spent several years in the US and China serving corporations in the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Specifically, Bipin has been involved with issues relating to Free Trade Agreements (FTA), customs and excise valuation and classification, customs facilities, Mergers & Acquisitions, export controls as well as trade/indirect tax mapping & planning.

Operational effective supply chain management is one of Bipin’s specializations and he has led large projects in Singapore and across Asia for various sectors including for Consumer Goods, Electronics and Pharmaceutical companies.

Until 2019, Bipin was the Director/Counsel of Tax and Customs for the international operations (Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa) of one of the largest American Automotive OEMs.

Bipin has worked extensively on FTA matters for Companies in varied industries, including on matters involving planning and strategy around tax effective supply chain structures, negotiations with and representations before Singapore and ASEAN authorities. Bipin has also handled and successfully concluded several customs audits and litigation, designed and managed incentive programs and actively delivered millions of dollars in EBIT savings through successful management of duty exemption and deferral programs.

A regular speaker at Customs, Trade and Tax conferences in Singapore and other locations in Asia Pacific, Bipin also frequently interacts with Government and Business leaders in ASEAN on matters relating to Customs and International trade.
