Regional Business Development Leader, Southeast Asia and Pacific Region
Axel is a supply chain professional with technology, eCommerce, retail and consumer expertise. He started his career at Transa (part of the DB Schenker Group) in Germany and then joined Exel to oversee the trade lane development between Central Europe and South China, based out of Hong Kong. After that, Axel moved to Logwin to set up the company’s regional sales structure in the Far East region before joining CEVA as head of business development for Hong Kong, South China & Taiwan, where he led the commercials of all vertical markets and products in freight management and contract logistics.
After 10 years based in Hong Kong, he moved to Singapore to head Ingram Micro’s Supply Chain business unit in the Asia Pacific region. He led the successful build-up of the company’s 3PL set up in Australia, China, India, Hong Kong and Singapore before joining Teleplan, a global leader in the aftermarket reverse logistics segment. He overlooked all commercial aspects and client developments for Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Greater China.
Axel rejoined CEVA Logistics, and is now the Regional Business Development Leader in the Southeast Asia and Pacific Region.
He earned his BA in Logistics and Business Administration from the University of Cooperative Education in Mannheim, Germany and holds an EMBA from Kellogg-HKUST in Hong Kong.
