The Belt & Road initiative and its impact on terminal development and consolidation

China’s Belt and Road initiative is the biggest infrastructure project in history, with massive investment in pipelines, railways, roads, ports and terminals in Asia, Africa and in Europe. Ince & Co’s global head of ports & terminals Ton van den Bosch will give an introduction on the Belt & Road initiative and on the ‘21st Century Maritime Silk Road’ and he will also cover its impact on global trade routes, challenges for Singapore as a transshipment hub and the ongoing consolidation in the container terminal business.
