THE 3RD LOGISYM AWARDS 2021 RECOGNISES INDIVIDUALS AND COMPANIES WHO HAVE SHOWN EXCELLENCE AND CONTRIBUTED SIGNIFICANTLY TO THE SUPPLY CHAIN AND LOGISTICS INDUSTRY

SUBMISSION AND NOMINATION RULES

  • Individuals may be nominated for more than one category
  • Individuals may nominate themselves or for others whom they feel deserve to be recognised
  • Nominations must be submitted on or before 2 April 2021 at https://forms.gle/t8kYWCoCCQhvdzBS9
  • Late or incomplete submissions will be disqualified
  • The judges’ decision will be final

WINNING NOMINATIONS

  • All winners will be notified by 30 April 2021 via email to attend the award ceremony on 19 May 2021
  • All winners will be announced on the 1st day of LogiSYM Singapore 2021 (19 May 2021)
  • All winners will be featured in the LogiSYM Magazine (June/July 2021 issue).

Corporate Awards – Shippers

Best Digital Transformation Initiative

This award is for an end user (shipper) company that is making specific and judicious use of new digital technologies to realise significant improvements in supply chain performance. In assessing the submissions, the judges will look for nominations that show evidence of astute organisational planning for digital transformation, the development of new business models, and the successful scaling up of pilot initiatives. Nominees can also indicate efforts to create and build digital awareness, manage cybersecurity threats and achieve deep organisational support and acceptance. 

Best Supply Chain Innovator  

This award is for an end user (shipper) company that continually aims to improve its supply chain function through innovation. In assessing the submissions, the judges will look for nominees that regularly implement new practices or technologies in their organisations that deliver tangible increases in supply chain performance. Nominees can also indicate initiatiatives aimed at embedding new ways of working in the organisation, upskilling and reskilling, and overcoming “innovation fatigue”.

Best Sustainable Logistics Enterprise

This award is for an end user (shipper) company that is incorporating the ethos of sustainability to realise significant improvements across environmental indicators including carbon emissions, waste disposal, and energy management. Nominees can also demonstrate  activities and initiatives aimed at evangelising sustainability in the organisation and to the wider community.

Corporate Awards  Service Providers & Technology Suppliers

Best E-Commerce Technology Company

Nominees for this award shall be involved in offering hardware or software technology that facilitates the process of e-commerce fulfillment. In assessing the submissions, the judges will look for nominee solutions that demonstrably improve e-commerce merchant performance and e-commerce customer experience through the application of technology-based solutions. Nominees can also highlight initiatives for reducing barriers to cross-border e-commerce trade.

Best Supply Chain Software Company

Nominees for this award shall be involved in offering software solutions that facilitate logistics and supply chain processes. In assessing the submissions, the judges will look for nominee solutions that exhibit deep functionality, high performance, ease-of-use, integrability, and that have delivered proven benefits to clients. In addition, nominees can highlight new market initiatives and technology innovations.

Best Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Company

Nominees for this award shall be involved in offering contract logistics services to clients (shippers). In assessing the submissions, the judges will look for those logistics service providers that have achieved success in increasing service levels, reducing costs and improving supply chain visibility for customers. Nominees should highlight the extent of logistics services to customers, industry sector(s) expertise, thought leadership in spearheading innovations, and contributions to raising the overall standard of third-party logistics.

Best Warehouse Automation Company

Nominees for this award shall be involved in offering automated material handling/storage equipment for use in warehouses, distribution centers or factory-floor environments. In assessing the submissions, the judges will look for nominee solutions across one or more material handling/storage sub-sectors, e.g., AS/RS, conveyor systems, lift trucks, AGVs, mobile autonomous robots, and which have delivered proven productivity and efficiency benefits. In addition, nominees can  highlight new market initiatives and technology innovations plus attention to safety and ergonomics

Individual Awards

Corporate Social Responsibility Champion

Nominees for this award shall be involved in developing and successfully implementing initiatives that serve to promote the concept and realisation of a socially responsible enterprise logistics & supply chain industry. These initiatives can encompass areas such as worker health & safety, proactive consumer relations, environmental management, and community outreach. This year, the judges will be particularly receptive to evidence of leadership of a superior corporate response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Promising Start-Up Champion

Nominees for this award shall be responsible for the development of a new enterprise in the logistics & supply chain industry. They should provide evidence of superior entrepreneurship skills such as recognising a market need/gap, developing a competitive advantage and value proposition, financing the initiative, adequately and appropriately resourcing the organisation, and targeting and acquiring customers. Nominees can also provide indication of early success and new venture progress.

Supply Chain Management Champion

Nominees for this award shall have a track record of success in improving or transforming the supply chain performance of a company or companies.  As well as a solid understanding of the art and science of supply chain management, nominees can demonstrate how superior leadership skills, cultural awareness and tenacity in the face of challenging circumstances have contributed towards their achievements.

Thought Leadership Champion

Nominees for this award shall have an acknowledged track record and reputation for developing new ideas and concepts that further the development and sophistication of the logistics & supply chain industry. They should demonstrate how such ideas and concepts fill a gap in existing knowledge and practices and indicate the extent to which these have been accepted as new ways of thinking and working. Nominees can also provide indication of the dissemination of formulated ideas and concepts via, for example, conferences, books, journal articles, and media appearances. 

Special Award

LogiSYM Excellence Award

This special award is for exceptional service to the logistics & supply chain sector by an individual recognised by the judges for his/her multiple and high achievements during a stellar career dedicated to serving this industry. The winner is identified and selected by the Logistics & Supply Chain Management Society (LSCMS) Committee.
