Christopher is an experienced leader who identifies the business imperatives and integrates compensation, performance management and leadership development strategies in support of the commercial vision. He lived and worked for 4 years in Tokyo and successfully managed and developed a culturally diverse team of over 200 local and expatriate staff. Then as regional HR Director (Oceania) providing strategic advice, support and analysis to SEA colleagues and taking a lead role across the APAC region in relation to pan-Regional HR strategy and execution. Finally being invited to participant in a ‘Talent Acceleration’ stream (Maersk Aspirations Project) and assume responsibility for the development and implementation of a broad range of APAC HR initiatives. Reporting directly to the APAC Regional Senior Director, this project required active engagement with all Maersk business leaders across the APAC region and the resulted in the successful conception, development and delivery of cross-cultural initiatives in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, India, Australia and New Zealand.
