Datuk Rani Hisham is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Malaysian Railways Limited
(KTMB) since September 2017. He graduated Bachelor Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing from Northrop University, Los Angeles, California, United States in 1987. 37 years of experience in the field of logistics and supply chain of various companies and more than 5 years in the railway industry. He has been exposed managing several companies such as Kontena Nasional Limited, Sime Darby Limited, DHL Global Forwarding, MMC Limited – Johor Port Logistics, DRB Hicom Limited – Pos Aviation Private Limited and MISC Trucking & Warehousing Private Limited.
He has been leading the transformation of KTMB, the oldest and the main rail operator in Peninsular Malaysia into commercially driven organization, providing the highest standard of railway public transportation and developed an integrated system and application to provide visibility and accessibility to the public. He delivers cutting-edge marketing strategies and innovative digitalization campaigns that increase demand, accelerate growth and maximize the budgets for the company as a brand and online marketing strategy in the rail industry.
Currently, he is a member of the board of directors of the Ipoh Cargo Terminal Private Limited, Fiberail Private Limited, Multimodal Freight Private Limited, KTMB MMC Kargo Private Limited, M Rail Technics Private Limited and KTMB Technics Private Limited.
He has been appointed as an Industry Expert Advisory Panel (IEAP) Diploma Logistic Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (2021-2024), Advisory Council Member of Malaysia Institute of Transport (MITRANS) University Technology MARA (UITM) (2019-2023) and Selangor Rail Industry Council, Invest Selangor Limited (2022-2024).
