Mr. Desmond Tan Kok Ming is a Singaporean politician, union leader, and former brigadier-general, currently serving as Senior Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office since 2024 and Deputy Secretary-General of the National Trade Union Congress (NTUC) since 2022.
With a distinguished background, Desmond previously held concurrent roles as Minister of State for Home Affairs and Minister of State for Sustainability and the Environment from 2020 to 2022, where he contributed significantly to public safety and environmental sustainability in Singapore.
