Edmund Chan

Edmund Chan heads the consultancy and technology teams at the Centre of Innovation for Supply Chain Management at Republic Polytechnic (COI-SCM@RP). He has helped more than 150 companies streamline and digitalise their demand forecasting, sales & operations planning, production planning, inventory management, layout, and delivery planning processes. For companies to become more agile, Edmund has been very proactive in help them developing no-code/low code capabilities to combining data from manual processes with warehouse robotic processes. From his experience, supply chain orchestration should first be about streamlining processes, followed by digitalising end-to-end processes before implementing larger scale automation and robotics. As part of Enterprise Singapore’s standards committees, Edmund is involved in the Logistics Technical Committee and Last Mile Delivery of Parcel standards. He has also invented picking, delivery planning and job scheduling algorithms that are licenced to companies. Edmund’s academic background includes a Masters in Industrial and Systems engineering from NUS, and Masters in Supply Chain Management from University of Michigan – Ann Arbor.
