Review draft — 25 September 2026. This notice has been updated to describe functions currently visible on this LogiSYM website. We are confirming the responsible legal entity, data protection contact, retention periods, optional cookies or analytics, and event-partner data sharing. For privacy questions during this review, email info@logisym.org.
1. About this notice
This notice explains how LogiSYM handles personal information you provide through this website or in connection with its magazine, events and enquiries. Some event registration and survey links take you to another service. Information you enter on those services is also covered by their own privacy notices.
2. Information we receive
- Magazine subscriptions: first name, last name, email address, country and your subscription choice.
- Partnership enquiries: name, work email, company, message, partnership interest and any optional role, phone number or event selection you provide.
- Events and editorial: registration details that an event platform provides to LogiSYM, and professional names, roles, biographies or images supplied for speaker, author or event profiles.
- Direct contact: the details and correspondence you send to us by email, including press releases or privacy requests.
- Website operation: technical records such as IP address, browser and request details may be processed by the website host or security tools to deliver and protect the site.
3. How we use information
We use relevant information to respond to enquiries; administer requested subscriptions and event participation; publish agreed professional profiles and editorial material; operate, maintain and protect the website; and meet applicable legal obligations. We should not use a form submission for an unrelated purpose without an appropriate notice or other lawful basis.
4. Newsletters and event communications
The magazine subscription form asks you to choose to receive LogiSYM email updates. You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or contact info@logisym.org. Registering for an event, attending an event or following LogiSYM on LinkedIn does not, by itself, enrol you in the magazine newsletter or give event sponsors permission to market to you. Event-specific registration notices should explain any separate communication choices.
5. Who receives information
The website uses service providers to host and operate it. Magazine subscription details are sent to Brevo to manage the mailing list and, where configured, the confirmation email. Partnership enquiries are stored in restricted WordPress records and emailed to the LogiSYM partnerships team for follow-up. Some event bookings use external registration services, including Eventbrite or EventsAir; the applicable event page links to the booking service.
If an event proposes sharing attendee contact details with a sponsor for the sponsor’s own follow-up, that purpose and the relevant choice should be explained at registration. This website notice does not treat event registration as blanket permission for sponsor marketing.
6. Cookies and analytics
WordPress and the website’s service providers may use cookies or similar identifiers for site operation, editor login and security. We are checking whether optional analytics or advertising tools are active on this site and will identify them and any available choices here once confirmed. The earlier policy’s statement that Google Analytics is in use has not yet been verified for this website.
7. Security and retention
We use access controls and website security measures intended to protect information held through this site. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Personal information should be kept only while needed for the purpose for which it was collected or for a legal or business requirement, then deleted or de-identified as appropriate. The retention periods for subscriptions, enquiries and event records are being confirmed as part of this review.
8. Processing outside Singapore
Hosting, email and event service providers may process information outside Singapore. We are confirming the relevant provider locations and transfer safeguards. Where applicable law requires protections for an overseas transfer, those protections should be put in place before the transfer.
9. Your requests and choices
You may contact info@logisym.org to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, withdraw consent where it applies, ask about deletion or raise a privacy concern. We will handle requests in line with applicable law and may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing records. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending messages needed to respond to a separate request or administer an event you joined.
10. Changes and contact
We will update this page when our website practices or this notice change. For questions about this notice or a privacy request, email info@logisym.org. The responsible legal entity and the public business contact for its data protection officer or privacy representative are to be confirmed in the final review.
