Capt. Solikin was born in Lamongan on 13 April 1969. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from STMT Trisakti (2009), a Master Mariner qualification (ANT-1) from BP3IP (2008), a Master of Transport Management (2018), and a Doctorate in Management from ITL Trisakti (2025).
He is currently an Independent Commissioner at PT BlackQoral Group, a digital media and investment company, and Coordinator of the Expert Team at MTI.
Capt. Solikin built his career at PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). He has served as Expert Staff to the President Director, Senior General Manager for Regions I and III, and Commercial and Technical Director of PT Jembatan Nusantara. He has also been General Manager of the main branches at Bakauheni, Merak and Ketapang, Vice President of Operations, Vice President of HSSE, and HR Manager. Before moving into management, he served as a ship captain for 18 years, commanding 17 vessels across 31 routes and 10 branches.
He is a frequent speaker at government agencies and state-owned enterprises. His honors include Best KPI Achiever (1st place), 10-year and 20-year service awards, and recognition for mobilizing vessels from overseas.
