ALSCO Anwood Logistics Systems
Ansgar is Vice President of ALSCO Anwood Logistics Systems, which was founded in 1998 and is the leading provider of returnable packagings and pooling services in China. He is responsible for the international operation of the company with focus on Europe and Southeast Asia as well as the introduction of new technologies to develop new business fields in AGV and warehouse automation and new product development for cold chain, fresh goods and e-Commers.
Prior to joining ALSCO, he established a joint venture for telematics tracking solutions of seafreight containers between a German technology startup and a Chinese state-owned company. He also managed several technology transfer initiatives between European and Asian corporations in the fields of renewable energies, power electronics and electronic consumer goods.
Ansgar received a M.Sc. in mechanical engineering from RWTH Aachen University of Technology in Aachen/Germany. Following his graduation, he joined a multi-national trading corporation with roots in Japan and a focus on the Asian market for which he developed new business fields and led business units in Korea and China. With this experience, he established the Asian operations of a German high-tech equipment manufacturer that included sourcing and supply chain as well as a network of regional service operations.
He received an MBA from the prestigious Sejong-Syracuse program at Sejong University in Seoul/Korea.
