Mr. Alan R. White’s illustrious career within the transportation industry spans 24 years and a number of continents, and today sees him located at National Air Cargo’s Dubai Hub as Vice President Group Operations Middle East; a position he has held since 2011. From the company’s Dubai Hub, Mr. White is responsible for National Air Cargo’s UAE operations and all its forwarding locations within the region including Afghanistan, Bahrain, Djibouti, Iraq, Kuwait and Qatar. Prior to this, Mr. White was Regional Director for National Air Cargo in the Pacific Rim having responsibility for all the business activities of the company in markets including Australia, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. Mr. White joined National Air Cargo in December 2004.
Prior to his appointment with National Air Cargo, Mr. White spent 11 years with DHL Express with various roles and assignments and in locales as diverse as Scotland, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Egypt, Oman, Afghanistan and Belgium.
A graduate of Motec College in Livingston near Edinburgh, Scotland, where he studied Transportation and Distribution. Mr. White has also been interviewed on City 7 TV News in Dubai as well as appearing in several specialist publications in the Middle East. Mr. White today is an active member of the American Chamber of Commerce in a number of countries, is married, and has two children.
