Biography

Anthony, Executive Director for Commonwealth Food Services Pte Ltd brings along 25 years of food logistics and manufacturing experience, including more than 13 years in managing cold chain food logistics companies in the Asia Pacific region. His prior appointments include Head of Cold Chain for YCH Group, Country GM for YCH Thailand, Head of Operations for AQ Logistics in Kyushu, Japan, Regional Vice President – Operations for HAVI Logistics in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and GM for HAVI Food Services Singapore/Malaysia.

After graduating with Honours degree in Food Science and Nutrition from National University of Malaysia, Anthony’s charted his initial working experience in the semi-automated and automated plant bakery and bakery ingredient food industry. After several initial years in production and distribution management, his foray into cold chain logistics started in early 2000 managing a 12,000m² temperature controlled warehouse facility with 24/7 integrated logistics distribution throughout Singapore for international chains of restaurants with strong focus in ensuring a high standard of distribution quality management process. His work has taken him to well over 100 logistics facility throughout Japan, Europe, USA and Asia Pacific. His current set-up is a 27,000m² food production cum logistics facility with close to 10,000 pallets capacity and equipped with a -28°C freezer of 5,640 pallets operating on ASRS with German technology.

Anthony has also attained various post-graduate qualifications in food safety, HACCP, ISO standards, employment act, labour law, fire safety management, food logistics, suppliers’ quality system standards, and has also been conferred with several awards including HAVI Group Business Excellence Award, HAVI President Award and Top Student award from Ngee Ann Polytechnic Singapore for FSM course. Over his course of work, he has also successfully secured new businesses and implemented temperature controlled integrated facility and distribution start-ups in Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore. His past and current customers include various major international F&B brands such as McDonald’s, KFC, Burger King, Subway, Costa Coffee, Manhattan Fish Market, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Swiss Bake, Pastamania, Mr Bean, Dunkin Donut and Au bon Pain Thailand.
